Last week Elise Zoetmulder hosted workshops and lectures in Manchester where she worked alongside students from the Manchester School of Art on our design methodology ‘Beauty as Experience’. The students were first introduced to the concepts, and later in the week we took a walk through the city centre of Stockport, where they will be designing an intervention. We are excited to see how the students will use the methodology to discover new opportunities in this unique location. The students come from different departments: interior, crafts, graphic design and animation, and will develop a multidisciplinary approach.
At the end of the week, Elise had an inspiring conversation with Liam McGroarty of the Dezeen Award-winning interior design firm Youth Studio, discussing the topic ‘From Space to Place.’
