Last month, Elise Zoetmulder and Anton Zoetmulder gave a lecture at the British University of Egypt on their research ‘Beauty as Experience’. This methodology uses the existing and potential experiential quality of neighbourhoods to discover new locations for densification. The research is applicable in diverse cultural contexts.
It was inspiring to see how students applied the methodology to the city of Cairo in Egypt and the impressive results it has produced.
